Richard "Rick" Ferris Rick graduated high school with the same graduating class as January, co-captain of the varsity hockey and baseball teams wtih January's then boyfriend, Darren "Deke" Cross. Through January and Deke, he met also met February and April, taking both of their virginities and managing to get April pregnant in the process. His friendship with Deke significantly weakened by his actions, Rick struggled with the guilt of fathering a child throughout his freshman year of college, primarily funded through a hockey scholarship. When an injury effectively ended any chance of continuing playing hockey for the school, he had to abandon college altogether and reevaluate his life. Things finally came full circle when he was reunited with April through Deke and Marc, who have since taken a more favorable attitude towards him, especially following his Vegas wedding to April, which only February and May attended. Despite his marriage to February and all his irresponsible past actions, February is still very much attracted to him, and would do anything to steal him away from April.
